The Shepherd’s Song of Solomon saw how the girl he loved when she was acting or was disappointed when she was sweaty and tired, having worked under a blazing sun (Song of Songs 1:5, 6; 2: 15).

Having also seen how faithfully she had rejected the advances of the rich King Solomon, he exclaimed:

“Thou art all fair, my companion, and there is no blemish in you.”
(Song of Songs 4:7).

Of course, he did not mean it was perfect,
but rather that, morally, she had no major through.

Her physical beauty was enhanced by a moral force that outweighed its weaknesses. – See Job 31:7.

Le berger du Cantique des cantiques avait vu comment la jeune fille qu’il aimait se comportait quand elle était déçue ou quand elle était en sueur et fatiguée pour avoir travaillé sous un soleil de plomb (Cantique des cantiques 1:5, 6; 2:15).

Après avoir également observé avec quelle fidélité elle avait repoussé les avances du riche roi Salomon, il s’est exclamé:

“Tu es toute belle, ô ma compagne, et il n’y a pas de tare en toi.”
(Cantique des cantiques 4:7).

Bien sûr, il ne voulait pas dire qu’elle était parfaite,
mais plutôt que, sur le plan moral, elle n’avait aucun travers majeur.

Sa beauté physique était rehaussée par une force morale qui l’emportait sur ses points faibles. — Voir Job 31:7.
