Love and Career:
Summer Glau spent her youth for ballet training, where she got a scholarship to a ballet company. She even home-schooled to accommodate her dance training. Too bad she got a serious ankle injury that ended her dancing career. She then moved to LA in 2002 to pursue acting career.
Summer Glau got her first TV credit when she played as a guest role as ballerina in one episode of Angel. There she caught the eye of director Joss Whedon, who later cast her in his critically acclaimed but short-lived TV series Firefly as River Tam.
After appeared in numerous TV series as recurring role, Summer Glau got her most prominent role in Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. She played the role of Cameron Phillips, a Terminator infiltration unit sent back to protect John Connor and Sarah Connor from Skynet. The seventh episode of the series, “The Demon Hand”, included several scenes in which Glau (in character as Cameron) dances ballet.
Summer Glau is currently starring in NBC’s superhero drama series, The Cape (January 9, 2011 – …). She’s playing as Orwell, an investigative blogger who wages war on the crime and corruption in Palm City.
Summer Glau dated Daniel Wisler in 2006-2009. Daniel is an actor who appeared as Jeremy Erhart, the boyfriend of Crystal Burns (Glau’s character) on episodes of The Unit.
